Evil Wizard's Birthday Pub crawl

in

The Evil Wizard is having his birthday Friday, May 9.

Give a call to my cell at 519-691-7434 to see which roof I'm raising or just to send your blessings. Please bring your first-born offerings to my place, 560 Horton (@ Adelaide), for the after-party.

Bike Theft - Returned

The bike was returned this morning by the friendly neighborhood crack dealer.

Thanks for the moral support of everyone I harrassed on saturday.

Crit Mass London-Ottawa Sympathy ride for Jeff Preston

Jeff Preston, a fine fella at UWO, is wheelchairing to Ottawa to make a point at how poor civilization is at doing what it says it will. If transportation is "equally accessible", why are the disabled beholden to poorly formed taxis, and why are the totally abled (cyclers) beholden to cars? Forgive the poor phrasing above, but the meaning is there. This is Jeff's website for his march http://www.getmobilized.ca/index2.html He's also meeting at Up on Carling Jan Thurs 10 at 9pm.

Ten Ways YOU Can Fight Fascist America!

This is a manifesto which impressed me enough to send it along.
That means it is Very Good. Its worth is plain and its writing is clear.

This is the best guide I can offer for proactive, prolonged, independent and effective resistance against the overwhelming direction towards greater warfare, poverty, and fascist control we see around the world in 2007.

I was asked by a weirdo I have a lot of respect for to write on this specific subject. I want this article to be as useful as possible, so I'm just going to lay things on the table as quickly and as clearly as I can.

Why Put a Perfectly Good Ham Rig on a Bicycle?

I like the idea of maintaining communication with each other when out of sight. Also a great option for our hardcore pals who dont groove on IM or cell phones (or bike horns).

I'm a creature of leisure just like the rest of you. If I'm not having fun, I won't do it. I don't bicycle in the rain, and I am certainly not an "exercise freak."  My radio is on the bike because that's where it belongs: it's fun to use and very useful while I am pedaling.

Must.... Race..... Often....

So there has been some talk of a relay race. I must say that my heart goes boom every time I think of bike racing, so I thought I'd make some propositions.

I think it was Matty who proposed a route west on Bathurst, north on Talbot, east on King, south on William.

I gotta say that this route includes quite a rocky dirt road component, and does include a lot of commercial area.
