I, like many others in town, have a very difficult time riding my bike past a hummer without wishing the worst on the driver and the machine - flipping them the finger tends to suffice (sometimes...).  so here's a video that made me feel better.

Living as a practicing student for so many years, this video resonates with me. I can't count how many times I have found myself hiding from the pile of books which seemed to be glaring at me - I could almost hear them snickering. My only friend was my bic soft 2. I have since moved on to my mechanical blue stylus .07, which has less character, yet is somehow more soothing - but I still remember the days with old yeller and my crappy hand sharpener.

Some folks have probably noticed, especially those who are on a tight budget, parents for example, that food prices are quickly rising. I have noticed it and dont really know what to think. I would like to know if anyone has a take on this.

I believe purchasing local and independent as much as possible is important. While you are paying a few nickels more, you are actually securing a 'return' on your investment, as that money will be re-circulated in our community.
