Compassion in Action Conference at Western

The University of Western Ontario is declaring March the month of
Social Justice and Peace. To coincide with this theme, our committee is
organizing an NGO career fair to be held in the UCC atrium on Friday,
March 14th, followed at 7pm by a keynote speech by Romeo Dallaire. We are also putting on a conference called Compassion In
Action on Saturday, March 15th. Our goal is to present the student body with alternative
career paths and volunteer opportunities and to encourage discussion
between students, professors, and guest speakers regarding topics of
human rights, environmentalism, international development, on campus
accessibility, the privatization of education, etc. The day will consist of seminar and workshop session with options for each, and a banquet dinner. All are welcome.

Conference tickets are $30 and include Dallaire's speech, which can also be attended seperately for $10 (students) or $15 (general public).
