The Third Annual London Indie Media Fair will be held on Saturday, March 29, from 1 - 5 pm in the Stevenson-Hunt rooms at the Central Branch of the London Public Library. Last year was a tremendous success, and we expect it to grow again this year.
The room will be filled with people showing, selling and trading their independent media, including zines, comics, silkscreened patches, posters, literature / art / political content, local music, photography, film, and online media.
Several workshops will be held in the room adjoining, including a talk by the people from our local London IndyMedia network, a workshop by Western Radio station CHRW on helping independent bands in the music industry and radio biz, a discussion and slideshow by environmental activist Mitch Brogan on zines as tools for radical action, and our perennial favourite, a silkscreening demonstration by the ladies at Pretty in Ink printshop. Check the upcoming poster for exact times.
If you have any questions, feel free to message me on here, or email Heather McDonald, Media Literacy librarian and IMF coordinator extraordinaire, at indie.media@lpl.london.on.ca or 519-661-5100 x 4986.
Hope to see you there!
