Punk-le-vote

Plagued by years of corruption and scandal, the Canadian government
has fallen. Prime Minister Paul Martin and his Liberal lapdogs have
been tossed out in the cold Canuck winter, the same frostbitten
playground on which Canada's political elite will jostle for control of
the country in the January 2006 federal elections. It's a time of
public apathy and political disgrace. It's time for the punks to join
the fray.

Roach and Starbuck, two hardcore punks from Montreal, try to form their own political party but run out of time due to Canada's electoral process. Instead, they decide to campaign for political office as independent candidates. Then they hit the campaign trail in one of Canada's wealthiest communities.

This screening is part of a film series co-organized by the
The Council of Canadians London Chapter's Cinema Politica faction
and
London Indymedia
