UWO Amnesty International is hosting a clothing swap in the UCC as part of a campaign to raise awareness about the use of sweat-shops. We want to present alternatives to buying goods produced at the expense of human rights, such as reusing old clothing. Bring the clothes you don't wear anymore and swap them, or donate $2 and take some clothes. Start: 7:00 pm

The Canadian Peace Alliance and the Collectif Échec à la guerre are calling for a pan-Canadian mobilization on March 15, 2008 to coincide with the fifth anniversary of the invasion of Iraq. That weekend will see protests around the world in answer to a callout for a global day of action to end the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan made by the World Against War Conference which met in London, England last December. In Canada, where the Liberals and Conservatives– contrary to the opinion of a clear majority of the population – seem intent on extending Canadian participation in the war in Afghanistan for at least three more years, it is vital that we take action ourselves to.stop this war now. Both of them are good musicians and intelligently introspective songwriters. It appears that this show will constitute a London debut for a number of the musicians whom I've recently had the pleasure of involving in my backing band. Ok, so... i have been told that a yearly, day long holiday called Easter exists, and is approaching nigh. I clearly must believe it exists, because I believe people exist, and people are telling me Easter exists. You understanding my rationale here? Evidence clearly demonstrates bunnies and eggs have definitively strong occurence in human rituals on the days which Easter occurs. | ||
