Next Wave Youth Centre and Bell Aliant present the 2008 Turkeyfest Battle of the Bands, Friday, June 20th 4-8pm @ Alexandra Park in Strathroy. 1st Prize: $300, plus featured set at Turkeyfest (June 21st) and 24 hours of recording time with Blue Room (value = $960.00) 2nd Prize: $200 3rd Prize: $100 There will also be a prize for People's Choice! The Cotton Jones Basket Ride are a Maryland-based band touring through the area. Their pop is beautiful, melodic, and incredibly infectious. Once you click on the link below and hear their lovely harmonies and sleighbell smoothness, you'll be hooked. You will not want to miss this show. They remind me a bit of the Papercuts.
