Hello from Hamilton!
Just wondering if anyone has discussed having an FNB event for Sept. yet? I realize that last month was really busy, (3 events in one month), but it would be great to have one set-up for later in the month. Perhaps even one held at the Market prior to next months Critical Mass as it would add to the event, and it's anticipated (based on recent media coverage) that we might be seeing a few new faces...I'm also hoping to make it out for CM next month, if not i'll ride in Hamilton.
Anyway, I'm just adding this thread for the purposes of planning meetings & events. All are invited to participate.

meeting
WORD!
We should have a meeting for some recruitment/socialization between old and new faces befofre 29th.
Perhaps sometime next week or a week after?
good stuff.
hey kota if you want to plan a meeting for recruitment/socialization that would be sweet. Both of those things especially number two... not so much my thing..
but i did send out that letter (finally) today . could you, or alex, or darren post it somewhere here--- if that's what we do???
hey, that's great lauren!
I've started a new thread for this event. I think it's best to start individual threads for each event once they've been announced, and use this general planning thread before the event is established. (if that makes anysense). That way we can keep a record of everything (thoughts, planning, remarks etc.) related to each one. Eventually i would like to began to create a history of actions in the free wiki using these threads. cheers,
a.

idea.
Perhaps you could start a new page/subpage on the Freewiki for each event, use the mainpage for posting any final decisions or info about the event and use the talk page for discussions? I don't know if that would be easier for you or more complicated... just an idea.

good idea but..
I like having it in the forum at LC for now. the free wiki would be good, only reason my preferance is due to higher traffic on the LC's pages.

Hey Alex,I admire your
Hey Alex,
I admire your hardwork on FNBs throughout the summer,we definetly keep this going this year as well!
Hopefully we can organize a givingout once in two weeks before the school gets intense, and also the one for the crytical mass.
Renee who has been organizing it last year is now back from Tanzania,so I'm gonna talk to her and bridge old and new faces.
I will let you know when we figure out actual plans.
Peace,
Kota
hey, welcome back Kota
thanks Kota!
Good to hear that some folks are coming back to the fold, also i'm hoping ppl will use the forum more for contributing ideas and planning events. I believe the transparency will make it easier for people to get involved. We've actually done better this year than Hamilton FNB from what i can see (which received support from OPIRG). Does anyone know what sort of planning is going on for Oct 28th? (Can. Involvement in Afghanistan).

Count me in for a September
Count me in for a September event (or a few). Im hoping to include some clubs at Western to FNB, specifically the Social Justice club. Introducing the idea of going out and volunteering time, practical applications. I dont have my car anymore, as i'm living in London, but I will offer whatever I can.
See you all later
