FNB: October 28th - The National Day of Action for Afghanistan

Hey folks,

Food Not Bombs will be providing meals at the demonstration against Canada's presence in Afgahnistan on Saturday the October 28th.

And I'm thinking of organizing a cook-up on Friday the 27th around 2pm, then serve it next day at the Victoria Park 1:30pm, a half and an hour before the demonstration.

We need at least 3 people for a cook-up and 2 for aserving, but as if we have more,it would be funner, quicker and the food will be tastier (yay!)

The cook up will take place at my palce, but I don't have so much space to accompany a group of people. So it would be great if anyone could volunteer to have us cook on Friday afternnon.

We are also looking for someone who could drive us down to the park with 2 pots,a table,a box of dises/cups,and banners around 1:30pm

Please post a comment, PM or call me at 519-857-4454 if you are interested in volunteering.

Details of the protest is on LC,or you can also check up the website:http://geocities.com/october28protest

In Solidarity,

Kota

FNBs...

Hey, remind me closer to the event and I'll take a look around the U.P. for anything that we can pass on. (probabley a bunch of bread, maybe some veggies we won't be able to use before we have to toss em... etc.).

Dear Food not Bombers (no.2)

I put aside some bread for you from our freezer here at the Unity Project (A large box's worth). If someone can pick it up before the event, It's yourse for the taking. I left a note in or log so as the staff working won't look at you funny when you come in asking for bread.
