So, there I am standing in the middle of the "March for Freedumb", watching the crowd...
and I think to my self "Hey, I recognise some people here!".
So I take a closer look, hmm...
Yup, I definitely recognise him...
I wonder if I can recognise anyone else...
Hey! they look familiar too!
But where do I know them from, and in what context?...
Oh, that's right... They're just our (London's own) local Skins out for a feild trip... At the "March for Freedom"... Who'da thunk it?
When we're talking about the racism and bigotry faced by the peoples of the Six Nations (and First Nations as a whole) we're really not embellishing... The scary part of all this is the similarities between the rhetoric of the white-supremacists present and the 'normal' (sorry, i can't think of a better descriptor at 4am...) people at the rally. I'd encourage anyone and everyone reading this to support your local Land Reclamation and stick it to Racism! Donations, supplies, fund-raisers, letters to politicians, officials and to the editor... All great ways to show you support!

Every major city has
Every major city has "Skinheads" and every major city has what you would call White Supremists (adding the mis-spelling to comfort any of the Antifa who can not spell). So what, a few "Skinheads" show up at a rally where Natives have squatted on land not owned by them, many of the people there I'm sure have zero respect for these so called Warriors (natives) so why point out just "Skinheads"?

to the Wotan God of Norse mythology. Also known as Odin, but Germany referred to it as "Wotan".. so an alias such as Wotans Volk, could really mean "Wotan's People" .. as Volk is german for people...
either way, its clearly an alias, and hopefully they'll change it to their real name so they wont get blocked.

There is also a group called Wotans Volk founded by David Lane (no, not David Blain...). also, WOTAN is sometimes used as an acronym for Will Of The Aryan Nation...

It seems as though we are all well aware of what this persons name could or does signify.
I am following the normal procedure for fake names with Wotans and part of that procedure is allowing the individual enough time to receive the messages I have sent them, hence their name may appear the same for the next little while.
re: racist or hate material on the website, we will cross that bridge when we get there, but seeing as they haven't said much of anything yet, let's not get too excited.

It's a white supremist term
I Googled Wotan Volk and found it to be a common white supremist appellation. Reportedly, Wotan is held in high regard by neo-nazi supporters. I am not saying this person is a neo-nazi, but the borderline racist nature of the comment makes me wonder. It is the sort of commentary one would expect from a white supremist.
Further his dismissive comment regarding members of the "antifa" is telling. Its roots are anti-racist/anti-fascist and is usually attributed to groups that espouse violence in quelling fascism. By using such a term, he is suggesting that the protest is anything but peaceful (which it is) and by suggesting that members of such groups are too stupid to spell, he or she is further communicating his or her contempt for those who would work to support oppressed peoples.
My personal attitude is that racist hate content ought not to be tolerated here regardless of whatever name the writer chooses to use. There are more than enough opportunities to publish hate literature elsewhere on the internet.
This person should either use his real name or be banned. Having comments such as these show up here is poor optics for LC and commentary based on hate is a crime in Canada. This is not a freedom of speech issue.

Skinheads in London
Yeah,
there was actually a guy from a queer group (don't know which one) at the RSF 06 talking about how big the skinhead groups in and around london actually are. (especially st. thomas he said.) It was pretty saddening.
There is also this bar called the wreck'd room downtown that they hang out at a lot. i think its cause they like goth girls - maybe because they're so pale. I was supposed to meet a friend down there last weekend and they held back my partner (from hispanic background) and ID'd him, yet let me pass. Then they told us that the bar was not letting ppl in anymore but i could go look for my friend and after i left they told my partner that he would have to wait outside.
he felt he was being very discriminated against, it must have been a truly shitty feeling for him
but i know i have seen the girl in the above pictures before, she used to date a friend of mine that was a punk-ish type guy. funny how people change.

Saw them at pride...
I remember them from pride(s). They're hard to miss with the signs and all... I have a few pictures of them from the pride (05 i think) where Wayne Kellistine (of shedden massacare fame) was out with them and some bikers from Alabama. I thought I had some of those pics on my laptop, but I guess I just scanned the ones of Kellistine and the bikers...

and paul.. i think that "London Rock" cue the air guitar - sells those patches. When i lived in Oshawa for a year, wearing one of those patches meant most likely getting hurt. That's what i was told by the local punks anyway. But this does not apply so much in london.

To say that the Wreck'd Room bar, it's owners, or the people that work there are racist is totally absurd.
The only reason anyone is ever denied access to that bar, or most other bars for that matter - is generally due to inadequate proper identification, or for the simple matter of the fact that the bar is closed and wanting the people inside to leave, therefore they aren't letting more people in.
Sure, some skinheads do frequent the Wreck'd Room, but simply because they choose to go there does not mean that the bar shares their views. I suppose they could be denied access at the door - but then that would be being racist now wouldn't it?

I'm one of the bouncers at the Wreck'd room and I assure you none of the staff is racist in anyway and we have a wide array of coloured customers who do visit.
The fact that the one friend was denied entry was probably because it was around 20 minutes to 2 o'clock or like miss kat ;) said inadequate id and we have a strickt rule on letting people in at last call; as most bars do. You should be happy you were let in to get your friend, we deny everybody any time after 1:30AM.
I assure you, if you goto the bar you will find it's one of the more friendly bars you will visit - there has not been one fight in over 3 years and most of the people who visit the bar are there just for good music, alcohol and to get away from fuck wad society and all its egoistic bull shit.
I'm all for people
I'm all for people overcoming there genomic shortcomings, finding community in and outside the park of luxury trailers, sharing ideas, forming basic concepts of and in the defiled river in which we tread, whilst taking 'action', but not in the context of hate or prejudice. So, nature vs. nurture rears is ugly shaved head. Combine genetic latency w/ the reality of an often abusive and neglected childhood, and the cycle of fear, hate, and self-worth manifests itself in very disturbing yet equally pathetic forms and deformations. I'd feel sorry for them if I wasn't afraid they'd call me a 'fag' and bloody my nose.

Damn. I like shaving my head... but I certainly don't want to be associated with them. I suppose I'll have to get one of those anti-nazi swatstika-meets-no-smoking-sign patches for my jacket somewhere. Anyone know where they can be bought?
