Hello All,

I've been doing some digging to figure out why the RSS feeds from the site don't work in some feed readers (most notably, Firefox's live bookmarks).

A website called Feed Validator has been very helpful.  I had it check our RSS feed and it showed some errors.

One is related to our site slogan (the navy blue box with intro info re: the site).  That gets used for the description of the RSS feed, and it should not contain any HTML (ours contains a link to more info).  That's easy to fix.

The other error is caused by unknown HTML tags from the embedded Creative Commons license information in individual posts.  Sometimes in short posts, part of that embedded license info gets included in the teaser (and the RSS feed) causing RSS readers to fail to interpret our feed.

Lastnight I installed a Drupal module called "Superteaser" that is supposed to do a better job at making the teasers automatically.  This will hopefully mean less fiddling with the <!--break--> tag, and less problems for the RSS feeds.

Tarek's RSS Feed

Hey Jeremy,

Is it possible to add Tarek's RSS feed to the main page of the site?

It can be found at the bottom his journey blog.

Thanks

Jeff

re: Tarek's rss feed

Hi Jeff,

Tarek's RSS feed was already available in the aggregator, but as you requested I made its block display by default.

This request should probably have been a new topic though, as it has nothing to do with the topic it's replying to.
