This is a wonderful piece in colour and this is one of two versions in black and white. This version is lightened to allow for better view of the back ground (compiled of assorted images). I would just like to thank my model for agreeing to helping me with this work. I wouldn't have been able to do it without him.
It is based off of 'The Venus of Urbino'.

nice pic
That is a very interesting photograph based on such an iconic piece of work that thas been taken up in so many different ways, reproduced in familiar with some of the specualation about Manet's Olympia? I just wrote a paper about it, that maybe I will post. My other fav. reproduction also plays with drag, Yasumasa Morimura, Portrait, (Twin), 1988. I believd his piece is meant to be read as comment on the feminization of asian cultures.

Thanks! Yeah I loved
Thanks! Yeah I loved Morimura's take on it. I love reading the different comments on this piece just to see how people read it. It seems to speak out in different ways to everyone. I think I'll upload the colour one on here later on. I love how it looks in colour better.
Thanks for commenting.
