I'd really like to see this image and Cailen's originals on the front page. Hopefully more people will take part in this contructed images project. (hint: vote them up folks!)

hey charles, i like this one a lot, i'm glad you did something with the photos i put up, i was hoping you might!
i've changed the creative commons license to allow modification of the images i posted. the license i've chosen does not force you to use the "share alike" option so it's up to you if you'd like to do that or not.

I normally don't set the share-alike option only because my pieces are originals intended to be sold. However, in this case, I have absolutely no objection to allowing further "re-mixing." It is a collaboration already, after all. I will do a little more with it on the weekend. I am in my office right now, and some of the filters I use at home aren't working here. I was also wondering if you have a higher res image. These are about 60 k and wouldn't print very well. They are great for the screen, but not so good for the printer.

Hi Charles,
See my note copyright permissions on Cailen's original post. If Cailen hadn't explicitly given permission and we were going by the Creative Commons license he selected, this image you posted (as great as it is) would be illegal.
Since you're already using Cailen's photo to make this image, would you be willing to change the CC license to one using the ShareAlike option? That way others would be able to take what you've done and expand on it themselves, as long as the same permission is granted for their work too.
And to everyone, anytime you see one of these at the bottom of a post, you can click it to see what permissions have been granted. As long as it doesn't have a big equal sign that says "No derivative works" you already have permission to turn it into something new.
Great Collab on Commons!
Keep it coming guys! Finally, artistic collaboration on Commons!
I think this is great! I
I think this is great! I will do some further work over the weekend and I will also post some "seed" images for people to play with.

Since I was the last to put the image up, I can't vote, but I think Cailen can. If so, go for it, Cailen.
