What is this Cuba?

Actually that was an unfair attack at one of the better socialist systems in operation today.

This is a response to this post

1) You misquoted me, again. It was, "Searching for folks interested in developing a movement".

2) I was away from the computer long enough to make a meal and you had removed them. I have never seen you act so fast for anything on this site (that's almost two years and one of which we have lived together, so I know). I must really be a threat to your authority.

3) "This was done without a consensus decision at a meeting, which is how we're supposed to remove moderator privileges."

Well this is absolutely untrue. We only remove moderator privileges in three ways: A) if the moderator does not show up to the meeting in which old moderators are reassessed, B) a person has officially resigned from the position or C) if through consensus, we decide that a moderator is unfit for the posiition. So no Jeremy, you weren't following protocol.

4) How is asking me to change my user name possibly going to be skewed by your personal feelings, thus make it a conflict of interest? Also untrue.

5) "I was going to document it right away, but I felt I had a conflict of interest in the issue.  Instead I contacted other moderators to deal the with issue of Jeff changing his user name"

How does this explain why you failed to document your unilateral decision then action by removing moderator status without consensus. Only after i publicly called you on it did you feel the need to explain(hours later I might add).

6)So you are willing to extract but not give back? You are the mod who removed my moderator status. Why don't you reinstate it Jeremy? Why make a point out of not returning such abilities?

Seriously Jeremy, time to check yourself.

Jeff

why a new thread?

Why a new thread?   And why under the rideshare forum?

I removed your moderator privileges immediately because I was online when you changed your user name.  When I see a fake name online, I restrict the account.

There should not be a person with a fake name that has moderator powers.  Why didn't you remove your moderator powers when you changed your name?

I felt it was a conflict of interest because we live together.  Judging from how you behave online (you are a flamer) people might be able to understand what it's like to get into an argument with you.  It's fairly abusive.  I'd rather not put up with that shit from you.  But it looks like I'm going to anyways.

I may have acted out of protocol, but I think you demonstrated a serious gap in our policies.  What do we do when a moderator goes on a flame war and changed their user name?  They should immediately lose their moderator privileges, not after the next meeting.

policy

I think this is an important issue that needs to be discussed at the next meeting.

So maybe we can pick a date and add it as an agenda item.

How does thursday the 13th in the evening sound?
