Announcement
Submitted by Deleted Accounts on September 18, 2007 - 5:27am.
I am pleased to announce that the workshop schedule for Imagine is now up on the Imagine website. It can be accessed here.
Imagine is an artist run gallery boutique in London. It is located on King St. opposite Waldos. We are offering workshops on everything from stained glass to encaustic painting and everything in between.
I am running the encaustic workshop and this class is right in time to allow participants to create an excellent gift for the holidays. London has needed an atelier school of art for some time. This is a great start!
I hope to see many of my friends out! If you are interested, please PM me at mcneil.merlin@gmail.com. Please also have a look at the website. There are other workshops listed there.
Cheers
Charles

Encaustic Painting Class
The date of this workshop (Oct. 13, 1 - 5 pm) is rapidly approaching. I have been asked if a person would be able to just do an acrylic and leave off the wax. While not encaustic, I am flexable and said that would be fine. SO, if you want to paint encaustic, then let me know and I will supply a rigid surface and wax. Otherwise, bring your own materials and tools and save the materials fee.
Participants will be responsible to provide their own paint, tools and containers for melted wax. Encaustic painting needs heat and I use an electric frypan and heat gun to melt and move around wax on the support. If you want to paint an acrylic, then you will not need the heat sources, but you will need to bring a canvas and your paint and utensils. I recommend a full set of painting knives for abstract impressionist paintings.
Again, if interested please p.m. me at mcneil.merlin@gmail.com
Cheers
Charles
