Che killed on this day, 1967
40 years ago today, Ernesto "Che" Guevara was reported killed in battle between army troops and guerillas in the Bolivian jungle.
From the BBC website: " A post mortem examination on Che Guevara's body, carried out two days after his death, suggested he had not in fact been killed in battle but had been captured and executed a day later"

there seems to be two
there seems to be two shallow, black and white ways of looking at che guevara these days. One is represented by the 14 year old in the rage t-shirt, the other by the post above this one. It's sad how in people's minds today he has been reduced to either a saint or a "psycho".

I don't know who this guy is, but he sure sells a lot of Tshirts
I've wondered for a long time how popular Che would have become if it wasn't for Alberto Korda's famous photo and Jim Fitzpatrick's (possibly more?) famous adaptation of it...
I find it kind of fitting that Fitzpatrick's work is a simplified version of Korda's photo, reducing it to two tones. I seems anaologous to the understanding that many people (read: adolecent males) have of Che's legacy.
