He's actually looking away from me because I gave him a friendly but stern warning to do so. He was really getting on my nerves with all that - US foreign policy this and Participatory democracy that - so I threatened him with a nasty noogie (hence the clenched left fist). He fearfully complied. Who does he think he is anyway...
