War on government

In this age of information/education/abundance, after and during hundreds of years of oppression by American governments who destroy other countries such as Iraq, communities such as those created by the Black Panthers in the 1960s, and who sterilize Native women in remote locations and residential schools in Canada, why do we have no popular and concrete acceptance as a society that these structures are the enemy of the people?
Why are we simply suspicious?
Why aren’t we at war with our governments?
I was going to make a poll but couldn't figure out how to put the info in. Also the answers might be too long...
