Hey everyone,
If you're interested in this event, there's a PDF here that's easier to read.
TD bank only green with money
First I’d just like to say that there are amazing art displays right now by activist artists at the Gallery that can’t be missed, on the second floor.
However I must state publicly that the irony of the Toronto Dominion bank funding a Green art show is too much for me to bear. The TD bank is one of the largest investors in clear cutting companies in Canada. That’s just the forest industry. Anyone who claims to care about the environment should not attend these company PR campaigns or at least heavly criticize TD during thier presentation.
Not to slam you personally Mitch, I love your work and don't question your sincerity or passion. But the environment needs nothing short of radical action.
can't argue
Dan,
It's impossible to argue your point when TD makes 4 billion a year in net income, and spends only 1 million a year on environmentally friendly projects. That's only 0.00025% of their income. I've spent more than 10% of my income on environmentally friendly projects in the past year. Why can't they? I hope you come anyway.
Mitch

Personal dilemma
The only way I feel morally comfortable attending is in protesting the TD Bank as an act of solidarity with our mother.
Perhaps I am being too cynical but I can not hear any more regarding the environment without talk of serious anti-corporate action.
I also do not want to disrespect good people like you and others I know involved in this event. Therefore, it might be best if I don’t go.
