Yes, but I'm lazy and will wait for others to do something about it.

No. We should all drive cars - and I eat poo.

The 21st

Come out on the 21st to talk about transit issues -  http://londoncommons.net/node/5191

The suggested discussion topic is
"Bicycles, mopeds, and other alternatives to cars"

Will do

yeah, last night was about how the city is run (ie. governance task force) and what to do about its structure. While that seems like it is removed from the topic of transportation, the underlying problem of this municipality (in reference to progress) is the institutional structuring and foundation. The actual structure itself does not have room or time for discussion on alternative transportation. the little time they do have is absorbed by the Meta narrative of "Environment and Transportation", which is one of the three comittee structures on council.

Oh, and this is a very big deal if anyone is concerned about Urban sprawl and development (ie. the death of downtown!) whoever dominates the planning comitte sets the pace and direction of development. Caranci, Van Meerbergen and Polhill = Hummers, Expressways and Mass puppy killing.

I do believe that for anyone

I do believe that for anyone advocating the transit system this is a fair survey.  Anyone wanting change needs to get involved.

I did vote for the lazy option though. in my defence, it is hard sometimes to spread onself really thin and become involved in everything...Now im not saying that I am involved in much right now...working on getting back into more advocacy projects...but I did need somewhat of a mental holiday.  its just bad once the holiday becomes too perminant and I definately don't want that to happen.

ayyyy...late night rambling.

The diversity of poo-eater's opinions is under-represented here

Where would one vote if they are pro-transit and pro-one cup?

...Worst poll. Ever.

was it the poll or the talk

was it the poll or the talk of poo that caused the near vomit?

and what will we do about

and what will we do about it? Like Greg said. Almost no one was out at the last public input meeting. Let's all be at the next one:

  Feb.12: East London Library, 2016 Dundas St. , 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.

I guess 1 out 14 isn't bad...

I was hoping to have a bit of LC back up while I was there... alas, there were some older folks from the east end who made it tolerable.

PS - The meeting ended at 9 (I was at the bus stop at 9:05). I got home at 10:05. By car that drive is about 7 minutes (10min in weather like tonight).

MIA

Dare I admit that I forgot about it? My daughter had me over for a free feed and I didn't remember until I got back home about 9:30... I'm glad that you made it to the meeting... Hopefully it wasn't as monopolized by the Task Force members as the last one was... I was pretty disappointed by the LFP coverage which focused on a single submission... No chance that I'll make it out to Byron for my 3rd meeting; that's a nightmare round trip by LTC from where I am... UWO on the 20th is a possibility though.

Great - 14 possible candidates

So, according to this poll, there are 14 folks 'willing' (not necessarily able) to attend the meeting tomorrow evening (that is - I also understand if this meeting was not what you had in mind by being 'active'). I will be at the Red Roaster cafe in the Central library tomorrow at 6pm. If anyone would like to join me before heading out on the #2 Dundas at 6:30. I probably won't be able to stay for the whole meeting as I have very little time to spare over the next week.

oh, and the car lovers are also very welcome to meet up with us. but please... for the love of god, bring some breath mints.
