Please take a moment to read the article. This is why homophobia needs to end - why we can't just be silent as it's encouraged or tolerated by those in power. It's not an abstract issue about marriage or civil unions, it's not even about equality or human rights. It's about the all too concrete fact that too many people have died. Too many fucking children have died. And it has to end.

Ive been mulling this over and I dont know what to think. does this really just come down to SIMPLY tolerance? its scary that we have such an issue living with something or someone outside of this bloooody fucking box of 'NORMALCY'. I mean 14 years old. 14. teach a 14 year old to just SIMPLY tolerate. is it too idealistic to think that 14 year olds in our time would be taught to see a world that isn't thinly drawn. what motives shape them?
Im sorry. just frustrated. the idea of how such hate remains a systemic issue is precisely depicted here. I dont believe a 14 year old has developed a rounded morality at their age (scary as that is) and since our reality is one that is socially endowed then where do they learn this? is it everywhere perhaps?
Ill be damned. its the persistent reminder of how distant we are from the concept of equity and how much work we have left.
Im sorry. Fuck politicians, fuck police, fuck me and the white fucking men. fuck this system and the religious oligarchs that raised it. we will one day start anew. battered and bruised we will look at our tired bodies and know we did not sit idle. even in times of reflection the thoughts themselves will generate action.
im sorry for any past of idle neutrality.
