Pepe Escobar, for The Real News, talks about the official responses, given from members of both Democratic candidate campaigns, to the invasion of Ecuadorian territory by Columbian special forces (supposedly in pursuit of FARC members) in this video.
pepe talking about US foreign policy
If, like Escobar references, the official campaign response from both Democratic candidates, Hillary and Obama, is correct then we're already witnessing the sheer ignorance of the future US president. As Escobar points out, Obama already made audacious claims about bombing Pakistan if US intelligence shows Al-Quida presence there. [Can anybody remember Clinton's bombing of a Sudanese medical facility?] This blatant disrespect for another county's sovereignty would be zealous if it came from the mouth of a fundamentalist who understood the issues at hand. But, like in the case of virtually every other US presidential candidate before these two, this banter only portray's the arrogance of both Obama and Hillary - and the similarity between them and previous US presidents.
