London Information and mobilization meeting

Mobilize, network, energize, and deepen the roots of the young feminist movement across Canada.

As a provincial mobilizer for Ontario, I will be holding an information meeting on Monday, April 21th at 7pm in the common room of the Mary Campbell Co-op (587 Talbot St) for all those interested in attending a national gathering of young feminists this coming fall.

We will be discussing 3 consultation questions about the gathering and discussing organizing women from our area to attend the gathering in October. If you cannot make the meeting, but are still interested in attending the fall national gathering in Montreal, QC, please contact me at rebecca.a.ellis@gmail.com for all details.

About the Waves of Resistance/Rebelles Pan-Canadian Gathering of Young Feminists (Montreal, QC, October 11, 12 and 13, 2008):

We are inviting all young feminists, militants, students, workers, un(der)employed women, artists, researchers, mothers, feminists of all tendencies and of all types, and of course emerging feminists…

Participate in a large pan-Canadian young feminists gathering that will take place in Montreal on the 11th, 12th and 13th of October 2008!

This gathering will bring together young women and young feminists from all horizons. "Waves of Resistance" seeks to:
-Share our analysis of feminist issues and take action
-Share our experiences as young women
-Discuss our priorities as young feminists
-Discuss how to resist and fight against all right-wing influence (moral, political, economical, etc.)
-Create links of solidarity between young feminists throughout all of Canada
-Reinforce the young feminists' movement in Canada

This invitation is to all young women, between 14 and 35 years of age, with diverse political views and identities, from all regions, cultures and languages, with an interest in feminist issues and struggles!
