Hey all,
The day is approaching very quickly so I thought to
create a thread for organizing the trip to Montreal for the Anarchist
Bookfair which is held May 17-18.
This is the biggest Anarchist
Bookfair in North America, and as I saw last year and year before it
gets bigger every year, and it's REALLY REALLY FUN! You don't have to
buy anything if you don't want to, it's nice to just hang out and enjoy
the vibe, and come on, it's MONTREAL!
On 17th, there will be the
actual bookfair, many vendors selling or trading radical literatures,
zines, posters etc, in the main hall, and workshops being helf in
sub-rooms followed by the afterparty in different location.
And 18th will be the day of workshops, with many inetersting issues, themes, questions being discussed.
You can check out the details (veondors, schedules, workshops etc) on their website, http://www.anarchistbookfair.ca/en/
We are going to leave London in the afternoon of 16th and leave Montreal either in the evenning of 18th or morning of 19th.
Approximate budget of renting a van will be $150 a day plus Gas.
There
will also be different options for accomodation, we could share a hotel
room, stay in inexpensive backpackers inn, or please let us know if you
have friends in Montreal who would not mind having some hippies on
their couch, that's even better! :)
If you are interested in going please post a comment here, Mitch is going to rent a van accrdingly.
I
know we only have 10 days till the trip, and kind of last minute
notice, but I would like to ask, NO LAST MINUTE BAILING PLEASE unless
it is emergency, plese be sure of your plan as much as you can, so we
don't have to run around in panic a day before the trip, and please
feel free to ask questions if you have any concerns.
Thanks,
Kota

no van. sorry.
everyone,
nobody has a wheelchair accessible van available for rent, so i am forced to have to take the train instead. sorry.
mb
i am interested.
we might have a car we can go in though. i will keep checking back here.
nice!
Mitch has to get a van anywyas, but if we have many people, like
over 10, it would be great if you could drive half of the group so we
don't have to rent a giant one.
FYI, there are 5 people who already confirmed as going including myself and Mitch.
You should come, it's a neat event to participate!
we are in for sure.
wife and i are both going to go. so update me further. :)
