Images of First Nations Victory - Dispatches from the Gathering of Earth Protectors
I would like to share some photos and video from the Gathering of Earth Protectors, and encourage others who were there to share too. I feel really blessed to have arrived at Queen's Park on wednesday just in time to hear the news that Bob Lovelace and the KI6 were free, to have shared in the celebration and i'll never forget serving the elders dinner. I also have to pay much respect to Esther Kern and Beth Guthrie for all the work that they did in supporting the gathering this week and their incredible activism always, they are great examples of strong radical women! And of course i am in awe of the strength and power that is present in communities like Grassy Narrows and KI, the struggle continues for them, but soemtimes the underdog really does win!!

more info on the Grassy contingent...
Kota and Darius told us last night that elders, kids as young as 5 years old and members of the mobilized community of Grassy Narrows didn't just drive or take buses to Queen's Park, they walked the 1800 Km. That's like walking from here to Toronto 9 times. AMAZING!

That truly is incredible. I would like to experience that some day. Not this year, as I am far too busy, but soon. Check this 'long walk'(post5555) out if you get a chance.

untruthful speculation, I was tired after 4 days of sleeping
