The Vagina Monologues---London, Ontario!

Hello dearest LC community,
I am writing to let you know that there is a very exciting possibility that we will be bringing V-Day to London. The Vagina Monologues has been performed at UWO for the past 8 years and has been performed around London various times throughout the past 5 years or so. This year's theme is CHANGING THE STORY OF WOMEN and the spotlight is on the women and girls of the Democratic Repulic of Congo. 10% of all proceeds will be donated to the spotlight, and 90% will go directly toward anti-violence organizations in our city. The incredible student-directed UWO show will still be running, but we are looking to have a new and exciting COMMUNITY show to add to the energy, feminist philosophies, and anti-violence action in this city. Plus we will raise a poop-load of money!
This year I would like to see the London community get highly engaged in the campaign and the show, bridging ages, genders, politics, cultures etc. At this point in time I am simply looking for folks who would be interested in helping organize the campaign (fundraising, grant-writing, publicity, logistics) and to help with the production in February or March.

i would LOVE to bring this to the radical table. i am in toronto this weekend, but is there another time soon that would work? i am really excited about getting some v-day in london and want to get going on it soonish.
