Empowerment 1 year anniverary celebration..

In mid-October of last year, Empowerment officially opened as a activist resource center, meeting space, and infoshop.. Over the past year we've hosted several dozen events ranging from potlucks, film nights, fundraiser parties, meetings, workshops, concerts, and more... We've torn down walls... literally. We've provided the city of London with radical books, zines, and other forms of media, we've served as a hub for both local and regional organizing of many important issues related to social, environmental, and economic justice. Not only did we dig out our driveway to plant seeds of sustainable agriculture, we planted seeds of hope and resistance throughout this city and far beyond... But what we've done will be nothing compared to what we will be able to show you next year..

Come celebrate our first birthday with us, knowing there will be many more to come. We are here to stay..

Friday October 17th we will be celebrating with all our allies. We want to thank everybody who's volunteered for us, everybody who's come out to our events, everybody who has supported us with donations when we fundraise, everybody who has donated books for our library, or ink for our printers, or paint for our banners, etc. everybody who has used our space for meetings, everybody who's washed their own dishes when they've come over, or brought over food and drinks to share with us. We appreciate you all and wouldn't be able to do this without you.. 

EMPOWERMENT COMMUNITY FEAST
Friday Oct. 17th, 6PM
we will be making tons of food, but there can never be too much.. feel free to bring some of your best vegan-friendly food to share with everyone.
After the feast there will be open mic./open jamming, a bonfire, homebrew, etc...
