London Farming Project
The London Farming Project is a small organically growing "farm" just south west on Wharncliffe Road. The goal of the project is to provide local organic food for the London area, to increase awareness of food politics and to provide an opportunity for people to learn how to grow their own food. We are welcoming all individuals with an interest in food to come by the farm and help out. Tuesdays and Thursdays between 1830 and 2130 are open times for anyone to come and learn a bit of farming. If you are interested please follow Wharncliffe south past southdale road. Go past all of the car dealerships and on the east side you will see a plot of land that is currently plowed and waiting to be seeded. The next driveway with the large red and white NO sign is the driveway to follow down to our small plot of land. If you are curious about the NO sign it is a protest against the proposed Bradley Street extension that would cut right through our small piece of land and effectively kill the London Farming Project.
We are also working the land almost everyday between 700 and 1230. Feel free to drop by anytime. We will be happy to show you around and if you want put you to work.
