In mid-October of last year, Empowerment officially opened as a activist resource center, meeting space, and infoshop.. Over the past year we've hosted several dozen events ranging from potlucks, film nights, fundraiser parties, meetings, workshops, concerts, and more... Join us for a free film screening of PickAxe, a radical documentary about environmentalists who put themselves on the line to protect one of the last old growth forests in the northwest (US). This will also be a vegan/vegetarian potluck so bring some wholesome sustainable food to share. (The production of meat is the primary cause of deforestation around the world especially the amazonian rainforest).  read more »
