In Need of Drupal Development Help and Expertise

x-posted to my blog on this site: http://londoncommons.net/node/4919

Hello everyone,

Last spring, I took the plunge into working with drupal for my online sites that I maintain and I've come to the conclusion that I'm now at a point where I desperately need help and guidance while working with this very complex, but uber useful system.

Two of the three sites which I maintain are based on the drupal platform and the other is just a simple blogger site.

Library goes open source?

So.. I was checking the hours for the London Public Library, and it turns out they have a new website.

I think it's a drupal website.
Which is pretty cool.

Can anyone confirm?

telescopes

Does anyone on here know much about telescopes?  my desk is perfect for star gazing, and I'm completely nocternal these days, so I'm looking at buying one..

I've been thinking about this for awhile, but after last nights meteor shower and planets as visible as they were, I'm really considering this..

what should I look for in them?  any recommendations from other star gazers?  brands, models, retailers etc.. ?

are there any that can hook up to a computer at all so I can take stills with them?

Stock Market Crash by the end of September 2007?

A friend has brought this to my attention. It seems this bit of speculation has remained hidden from the mainstream. Does anyone out there know more about "put options" and how they work?

Any new developments in the market or investments that others should know about?

"Simon Derrick, head of currency research at Bank of New York Mellon, said: "With any hope of even a brief bounce emerging in the yen crosses evaporating in the fierce glare of another horrible close in New York, it is clear that the vicious, self-reinforcing, downward spiral we were worrying about is already firmly established."  read more »

Why aren't there parties in city politics?

This is something I've wondered for a long time.  It makes sense to me that a party would stand a better chance at getting a majority on council.  And having a party would mean democratically chosen policies.

But instead we're stuck with individuals who are not committed to some sort of a plan for the city.

Are municipal parties illegal?  Or are they a bad idea for reasons I don't understand?
